Our campaigns
Born to suffer
Many pedigree dogs are vulnerable to unnecessary disease, disability or pain because they're bred primarily for how they look. join the campaign to end their suffering!
Laying hens
The ban on conventional battery cages starts on 1st Jan 2012. But are all countries going to comply?
Dangerous dogs
Irresponsible dog ownership costs the country millions of pounds each year in prevention and health costs. We need new laws!

cloning is the wrong thing to do. If you want more animals for your farm... BREED THEM!!!

Cloning is very bad for the cloned offspring as it actually gives them more problems like conditions for vital organs as if that wasn't bad enough to just be bred and have a condition which is unbearable to then be slaughtered at the first chance for food it's unnatural cruel and totally unfair!!!! I support the RSPCA with all my being and agree that cloning of whole animals should be banned completely!

I think its pathetic!!!People are taking advantage of these animals just because they cant stand up for themselves. It is so selfish of the people cloning them because from I can see they are not taking care or thinking about the animals needs at all. I always eat free range meat and encourage people to do the same but I do understand that it isn't always possible to get it but there must be some other alternative than eating cloned meat.

This is wrong last time humans played with nature we had mad cow. I would never buy cloned meat why can't people accept nature the way it is.

Yes I totally agree. I would not eat cloned meat as you never know if it's dangerous or not and also, you may never know if an animal has suffered for the meat to be produced. I am not an expert on this subject and an animal may not have been hurt but you have to think of the welfare of those animals and the people who endorse the meat.

Of Course however it is up to personal opinion. but in my view yes!! cloning of animals is cruel and is unneccesary. The products they provide may in the handlers view taste "good" but its horrible to think of the pain theese animals have been through and are still going through!

I support the RSPCA wholeheartedly. However, in this case, I don't have the facts to form an opinion. What data is there on the pain these animals suffer? Why are they reared when they are in pain? Are they in pain more than other cattle raised in the same circumstances? Give me the facts and, if supported, I will support you. However, until I have more validated information, I would rather continue supporting your campaign for the proper and humane rearing and slaughter of pigs. I hope you understand this.

I do because it is unnatural and painful, it should not happen. Poor animals are in pain because of it and it's not right.
